Statement                                                                                                              


The material for my work is natural debris:
it lies underfoot and often irritates people.
These are leaves, dry or not, twigs, roots, whatever I find and like.
With my own method, I distorting the object beyond recognition
until it stops being itself and becomes mine.
Nothing is added, drawn or painted over:
every form comes from the material alone.
What appears is a surreal world of invented creatures,
ghosts and figures that exist only in my reality.
No composition can be repeated, so each image exists only once.
